Creation by Adam - a painting by Anarya", Courtesy Shubnam, flickr CCOn 23 June 2010 Steven Ames presented the Yarra Institute for Religion and Social Policy with a constructive conversation on the topic of God and the Natural Science with special comments on the Atheist Convention.

Dr. Stephen Ames is Lecturer in the Philosophy School at the University of Melbourne, and is a Canon of St Paul’s Cathedral. In addition to his Theological Degree, he holds Doctorates in both Physics and the Philosophy of Science. Rev Ames has published in the area of physics, history and philosophy of science and theology. This includes a presentation associated with his co winning of a Templeton foundation award at Oxford University in 2001, at the University Arizona 2006 and again at Oxford in 2008 on the nature of reason and design. Rev Ames is the current chairperson for the Yarra Institute for Religion and Social Policy.
